In the immortal words of Kermit the Frog, a post about my job

*I'm reminded constantly, from sweet letters written by school children, or staring into the eyes of our birds, or hearing others complain about their careers...that I am very lucky to have something in my life that not only I am good at, but that I love to do...*

Sleeping barn owl
Have you been half asleep...

Lucy checks out the flycatcher
and have you heard voices?

Isis and me 2
I've heard them calling my name.

back of female kestrel
Is this the sweet sound
That calls the young sailors?

helen me and girls
The voice might be one and the same.

Sylvester and me

I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
GHOW(1)
It's something that I'm supposed to be.

Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
Talking with Lucy
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

I love that photo of the female kestrel. She is a real beauty.
And what fun seeing you in different hairstyles, etc. Sorry--couldn't help but notice that.
A person who has a job she loves is blessed indeed.

Whew! I was afraid you were going to say "It's not easy being green!" When you enjoy what you do this much, it isn't really a job.

We're all jealous. Not only do you have a job you love and are good at, but also it allows you to play with birds. How cool is that?

Awww; there's that schmoofly lovely owlie sleepie face! Great shot of you & Sylvester regarding each other. I can see the love & respect in your eyes. You just know your birds trust you.

♬ ... All of us under its spell; we know that it's probably magic. ♫

And in looking at the pictures of your job, and how happy it obviously makes you, I'd definitely say there's magic involved! ☺

Dawn:
I think I have. :)

Donna:
So. You noticed my hair. I do like to change it up every once in a while. And yes, I do feel blessed.

Kathy:
LOL!
I feel weird when I call it a "job". Sure doesn't feel like one.

Jane:
It's very cool! I couldn't believe that I had landed such a cool gig.

Stacy:
Thought of you when I put that picture up...remembered that you liked it. :)
They do trust me...People ask if I think the birds "love" me, and I say "No. They trust me".

Kyle:
Sing it, man!!!
It feels magical, being able to hold these wonderful creatures and show the public how fantastic the birds are.

Yes, I'm jealous. I don't know what it's like to love a job. Well, there were two I enjoyed...

Living your calling and making a difference at the same time - you can't get much better than that!

Nice post. It didn't make me jealous though as I too enjoy my job immensely.
