Have.....to.....blog......

I didn't take any photos today, but blogging is like heroin, so I grabbed some past pictures that were either taken before the genesis of "Susan Gets Native" or ones that I just never got around to posting:

I tried to paint once, many moons ago. My in-laws have this really depressing painting I did back when Geoff and I were dating. I like the cloud, but the rest is just embarassing.
A busy beaver did a number on this tree at Lake Isabella. I have never seen a "beaver tree" before. I can't imagine chewing through a whole tree. I have a hard enough time with a big saw.

Blue moon
Oh, I will catch Holy Hell for this one.
This is my ever-twisted father in law...the one who comes up with comment names like Maude Festermeister, the Yak Herder, etc.
Last Easter, the girls had bunny ears, and I decided that everyone needed to wear them for me to photograph. It took a lot of coersion to get Jim to put them on.
Let the comments roll in...

He looks like a good sport to me and besides he's a Grandpa - they have to be fun and wear the bunny ears!

Of course I'd say he's showing good taste in his attire!

Did you ever get him to put the ears on? ;)

Hmmm...no comment from Jim yet.
(He is a blogaholic when it comes to this blog)
I wonder if I have actually rendered the man speechless?

Susan,
I was about to comment on your remark: "I can't imagine chewing through a whole tree. I have a hard enough time with a big saw." I didn't know that you had ever chewed though a big saw.

Then...Then,..You post a photo of someone who is obviously not playing with a full deck. Or someone who is so desperate to keep his daughter-in-law from adopting yet another pet, such as a rabbit [Sorry Laura, nothing personal against rabbits, especially with a good bernaise sauce], that he attempts to fill the void by wearing something that can only be termed hare-brained.

Time to be off to bed. Let me rephrase that as: To Bed...since I'm quite obviously already "Off."

Susan - it sure seems as though you have quite a fun family!

I have never seen a beaver tree either - hard workers indeed.
