Interestingly, he occasionally tapped on the glass, then preened that bald spot on his chest.
He did this multiple times.

It's a sure sign that spring is drawing closer when the cardinals start doing their territorial defense against that other male reflected in your window and mirror - or just falling in love with whatever is around! Nice photos!
Did you do anything special to attract him? I can't figure out how to get birds into my backyard and you have birds saying hello to you in the dead of winter. It's not fair!
