HAPPY DE-LURKING WEEK!

I didn't know it, but this is National Delurking Week (found out through John's blog, who found through another blog, blah blah blah.).

Lurkers are folks who read a blog regularly, but never leave a comment. I'm sure I have some lurkers...on my SiteMeter, there are folks who come around daily but aren't making their presence known.

So, if you read my blog alot but don't speak up, now is the time to start. I like comments. I like the people who visit my blog , as long as they mind their manners and act like they have some sense.

Time to come out of the closet!

"...have some sense" Is that now a requirement?
Does this mean that The Swami is no longer welcome?!

Oh shoot, now I have to mind my manners!
I like you too, Susan!

Good tip! I know a dozen or two of family and friends who read my blog every day without commenting. I'm glad Swami caught on.

Oooh, lurking sounds so awful.

I love to check in with your's, Laura's from NJ, Birdchick, JZ and BT3 daily. Your pictures, stories, and yes the comments that others leave (including the great Swami) are what keep bringing me back. I enjoy the sense of being connected, even though I don't leave comments all the time.

I'm a reader, and all of you are my storytellers. Most times I just like to carry the thoughts about these blogs around with me during the day -- if I had to comment each time I read, it would feel like school, where you had to write a book report on each book you read to show how well you "understood it." It would take the fun away.

Besides, with Laura from NJ and the Swami commenting, who could be more clever and insightful?

I'll try to comment more in the future.

I "lurk" at a number of blogs every day. If I put comments on every one, I would have to give up my job, or sleep. Can't afford to do either! Some days I use all my word creativity coming up with my own post.

Nah- I've been out of the closet since I found you (you found me, rather) in the past week. My pleasure, I must say! Be forewarned, sometimes my comments reflect a definite lack of "some sense." I'm practicing for the day I get audited by the IRS.

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Laura and I read your blog sometimes.

OK OK I visit, with gaps when I am traveling. Often don't comment for all the above stated reasons. Enjoy dropping by though. Yes, I also lurk on Swami's and a few others...now you can all guess!

Swami:
I can't officially ban you, since you are family.

Pam:
Your manners are fine. It's people like the trolls Julie gets that worry me...

Mary:
Has Swami been stalking you???? Bad Swami.

Heather:
I understand about the time involved. I spend more time commenting on everyone else's blog than I do composing my posts! And I am glad you stop by.

Ruth:
I'm glad you visit my humble corner of the Web. I should comment on other blogs first, I think. I seem to have a finite amount of rational words.

Laurie:
A Ha!

Fiona Bun:
Outted and appreciated!

Vicki:
I am so glad Laura pointed us towards your blog. You make me almost wet my pants, you are so hilarious.

Laura:
Nice to meet you. Where do you live? Do you have a blog? Have any pets?

Shila:
I knew you had read my blog in the past, and I am honored that such a integral part of Bill and Julie's universe stops by sometimes to read my words.

I guess I do after seeing the comment on Julie's blog.

I'd leave a comment, but then you'd have to give me a penny.

I get nearly 100 hits a week, but am lucky to get 2 or 3 comments, and even those are dwindling. It's a good thing my ego was beat out of me a long time ago, or that might hurt.

I try to comment on blogs I read. Not every time, of course, but enough to let the blogger know that their efforts are appreciated by somebody.
