Lake Isabella-Trees, sunsets, tantrums

Lake Isabella is a local park that we go to frequently. (No, we didn't name Isabelle for the lake)

There's a fish tank in the fishing lodge that has some of the types of fish that are in the lake. And a HUGE salamander...I looked for names, but couldn't find out what it was. A Hellbender?

Isabelle got stuck on the playground, afraid to go up or down. And of course, Mommy came to the rescue, after getting the camera and taking a picture. :-)

This is not a warm, fuzzy picture. It looks like she is yelling in delight. Wellllll....

I tried to teach her to swing herself, instead of pushing her. She wasn't keen on that idea, and I hate it when she says "I can't", so I told her that I wouldn't push her on the swing anymore. And when she started to whine, I told her that we were going home.

The screaming, stomping, kicking-Mommy's-shins tantrum lasted for 20 minutes.

At least the sunset was nice.

How do you get a 2 1/2 year old to get dressed for bed?

Put her nightgown on the dog.

The sunset is gorgeous! Love the dog dressed up! Hmmm, my Mom has some photos like that when I was little. It's amazing what dogs will put up with from little girls. Oh, and Moms too.

Wait, I just read this again, did YOU put the nightgown on the dog? Hee hee - good idea!

Yeah, Lorelei wasn't into putting her gown on, so I stuck it on Nellie and Lorelei suddenly changed her mind!

Someone's fanbelt must have been squeeling in the background because that cute little Isabelle definitely looks to be yelling out of joy!
