This was so traumatic, I had to blog about it.
Those of you who know me personally know how much I love Frappuchinos from Starbucks.
I got one today, and as I pulled into traffic, I picked up my drink...
*eerie music here*
The lid came off in my hand, and half of the drink landed on the steering wheel, floor, windshield and my lap.
Good thing the girls were sleeping in the back, because I ran through my repertoire of bad words. I began to frantically search for something to clean up with...
But I had cleaned out the car before we left, and of course I took out all the towels, clothes and other articles that would have been useful in this situation.
The cream landed on the floor between my feet.
To remove this mess from my lap and steering wheel, I had some baby wipes and one of Lorelei's socks. The effect was disappointing.
Also the cup was covered in goop from me trying to juggle it after the spill, so I searched again for something to contain it so I wouldn't make any more of a mess.
My solution:
A diaper.

Wow, that looks far more stylish than the standard Starbucks cup holder! You are really hip.
NO NO!!! MAKE IT STOP!! I CAN'T STAND IT, YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE THESE PICTURES OFF YOUR BLOG IMMEDIATELY, THIS IS THE MOST GRUESOME SIGHT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I WILL SEE THIS FOR MONTHS IN MY NIGHTMARES.
REST IN PEACE LITTLE FRAPPUCHINO!!
Between you and your FIL I can't stop laughing tonight. What a comedy act - do you guys plan it that way?
Regarding your comments on birdchick - how do you know it wasn't your FIL calling you a *looser* - seems like something he would do.
;-)
Might be fun to ask him to do a *guest blog* sometime - then you could poke fun at him like he does to you.
Laura:
thanks...glad I could make someone laugh, especially you, since it sounds like work is a pill lately.
I knew it wasn't Jim calling me a "looser" because the comments were too mean-spirited...as in, the guy said that "only self-centered" people have blogs. What a dork.
I have asked him to do his own blog, but he says that he only has time for mine.
:-)
Well, he does stay busy here!
I'm a vanilla steamer girl at Starbucks. My coworker Debbie drags me everday at lunch. I love coffee, but Starbuck's is too strong for my taste, but nice steamed milk is delicious and comforting!
My dad used to get steamed milk at the hospital after his dialysis and I thought it was the weirdest thing! Until I tried it, but I do prefer it with a bit of vanilla flavoring.
