...Laura already tagged me, and she tagged Endment, too. It's up to you, Cathy!
How in the world can you really pick just 10? I think they are all beautiful...except for House Sparrows. :-)

What - no bluebirds on your list?
Each time I looked at my list I'd change something! Too hard to pick just 10 and stick to them.
I like your list - some beauties there. Have you not seen Hoodies? Don't they come to your part of the world?
When faced with all the birds of North America...I love 'em all.
Great list!
You must not have really looked at a house sparrow lately. They are annoying but I have to admit I think they are beautiful... Starlings also but I have had enough of house sparrows and starlings.... :)
I am having such a hard time with the House Sparrows I can't think of them as anything but awful. And they peck the heads of bluebirds until the bluebirds die. I find no beauty in a bird like that.
Susan,
I agree with you; there is ugliness that goes along with the beauty around us. I resent cowbirds for their dastardly deeds, and one year as I stood on my dock feeding a mama mallard with her sweet ducklings surrounding her, a herring gull swooped down and plucked up one of her little babies and flew off with it. I swear at the time if I had had a gun on me, I would have shot that gull! As it was, I jumped up and down, screaming and cursing for at least 10 minutes. I knew what was going to happen to the duckling, and I just hoped that it had died instantly. That was more than 12 years ago, and I still don't care much for gulls anymore.
Anyway, right now I am jumping up and down yelling "pick me, pick me!". Tag me to post a list of my 10 most beautiful birds! :)
