Wordless Friday (almost)

In my ongoing quest to be different and exciting, I present...Wordless Friday.

Yeah, anyone could have a "Wordless Wednesday". But it takes a genius to do it on a Friday.

And there's a theme:
Green.

I could never do a real Wordless anything.
If you would like some insight into my sense of humor, go to this link and check out "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" by Edward Gorey, one of our most undefinable artists. I discovered him way back in the late eighties, when a friend of The Demon had a poster of the Gashlycrumb Tinies. This guy was also my first gay friend, and he exposed me to more than just Edward Gorey (that's for another post). But anyway...
Edward Gorey made the uncomfortable approachable, the dark illuminated.

I've long been an admirer of the ghastly Mr. Gorey. He did a wonderfully gruesome alphabet that my children loved. I love thse green photos, esp. the green bugs and the hummer. Now I'm curious about this
guy who exposes certain things to you...notthattheresanythingwrong with that. Necessarily :-)

Don't know if you've IDed the tall GREEN (trying to stay with your theme)plant beside your house from a couple posts ago?
Could it be goldenrod--is it sort of woody stemmed at the base--hard and stick-like? And the leaves have a fresh strong smell, if you crush them? (obviously I can't see this well--but I pick a lot for my goats--they love it!)
This would be really good news for you, if it is goldenrod--a great native to have in your yard (and another too many people pull out as a weed)

Beautiful photos Susan, but I do miss your words.

Hey, those tinies were very funny - morbid in a way, but funny as hell!

Your bug shots are terrific, Susan. I particularly like the grasshopper and the dragonfly with the transparent wings.

Why don't you call it "Few Words Friday"? I dare you to try something completely wordless.

The greenies are terrrific too- my fave are the pathway pix.

What is the green scaly looking stuff? It is just gorgeous greens.

And poor Neville, who died of ennui. Zoey's godmother has turned her on to Gorey. I think we chose the right godmother.
